Know Exactly Who Can Run This Load.
Before You Dispatch.

Dispatch doesn’t fail on the drivers you don’t have. It fails on the one you sent whose medical card lapsed Tuesday, whose tanker endorsement expired, whose hours won’t make the delivery window. X3 Workforce decides who is qualified, trained, medically current, rested, competent and specifically authorized for each assignment — one of six precise statuses, with the reason, the rule and the fastest fix.

The dispatch gamble

The DQ File Was Fine. The Driver Still Couldn’t Legally Run the Load.

Qualification isn’t one question, it’s six, and they change every day. The file is complete but the medical card lapsed last week. The endorsement is on the license but the tanker competency check expired. The hours look fine until you add the detour. The customer requires an orientation the driver never took. Every one of those is a violation at roadside, an out-of-service, or a claim — and every one of them was knowable before the truck left.

A DQ file tells you the driver was qualified once. Dispatch needs to know right now.

X3 Intelligence

One Driver. One Load. One Precise Verdict.

Set each dimension for a driver — or paste the file and the duty log — add the assignment, and X3 returns a weighted Readiness Score with a CLEAR / REVIEW / HOLD verdict. Then the Assignment Authorization Engine checks the driver against the load, the vehicle, the customer, the route and your own fleet rules and resolves it to one of six statuses with the reason, the source and the fastest valid resolution.

Driver qualification

Every DQ-file document verified against 49 CFR 391.51 — gap and fix list.

Medical certificate

Valid, unrestricted, on the registry — and watched before it lapses (391.41 / 391.45).

Available hours

Lawful hours left in the cycle under Part 395, with the route’s driving time applied.

Operational competency

CDL class, endorsements, road test, equipment and route competency (391.31).

Training

Entry-level driver training and ongoing or remedial training on record (Part 380).

Fleet authorization

Authorized for your specific equipment, routes and customers — your rules on top of the floor (391.11(b)).

Stop dispatching on the file. Start dispatching on the verdict.

Why it’s blocked — and the fastest fix
  • Tanker competency evaluation expired 12 days ago (fleet rule on 49 CFR 391.31)
  • Customer orientation incomplete — required by the site’s facility rules
  • Available driving time insufficient for the route with the mandatory break (49 CFR 395.3)
  • Fastest fix: assign Driver 118 (Authorized), or move pickup to 6:30 a.m. after Driver 44 completes orientation

Six statuses

Every Decision Lands in One of Six Places. Each With the Reason and the Fix.

The engine never answers “probably.” It resolves every driver-and-assignment pair to a precise status, names the blocking or conditional item, cites its source, says whether it can be overridden, and gives the fastest valid resolution.

Six Statuses. One Engine.

Authorized

Cleared to dispatch

All mandatory conditions satisfied.
Conditions

Proceed with conditions

Daytime only, trainer-paired, orientation first.
Pending

In process

MVR ordered, approval requested, evidence en route.
Restricted

Not this assignment

Competency or company mismatch — another load, another day.
Ineligible

Cannot dispatch

A mandatory requirement unmet or a disqualification exists.
Review

Facts conflict or a determination is required.
From driver file to dispatch decision

Seven Readiness Areas. One Authorization Decision.

Each area is a working module backed by grounded specialists — run one, or let the engine roll all of them into one decision in seconds.

01

Bring the driver and the load

Set each dimension, or paste the file and duty log. Add the assignment: vehicle, customer, route, time.

02

Audit the DQ file

Every document 49 CFR 391.51 requires, verified — gap and fix list.

03

Check medical and training

Certificate validity and registry status; ELDT and ongoing training on record.

04

Compute the hours

Lawful available hours under Part 395, the route’s driving time applied, logs screened.

05

Match competency and authorization

CDL class, endorsements, road test, equipment, route, customer rules, your fleet rules.

06

Get the verdict

One of six statuses with the reason, the source and whether it can be overridden.

07

Fix and dispatch

The fastest valid resolution — a substitute driver, a time change, a completed item — then dispatch.

File. Medical. Hours. Competency. Training. Authorization. One decision.

Continuous readiness

Qualified Today Isn’t Qualified Tomorrow.

Medical cards lapse, endorsements expire, annual reviews come due, hours reset, customers change their site rules. X3 Workforce watches every driver’s six dimensions continuously, tells the right person what’s about to change a status, and re-scores the roster every time something moves.

Detect

The item that’s about to flip a driver from Authorized to Pending — and the driver it affects.

Assign

To the driver, the safety manager or dispatch — with the fix and the date.

Prove

Point-in-time proof of qualification for every dispatched load.

Dispatch shouldn’t find out about the lapsed card at the scale. X3 tells them a month before.

Twenty-Seven Agents. One Driver-Authorization Brain.

Each one produces a finished, cited work product — no marketing personas. Qualification intelligence flows into readiness scoring, assignment authorization and continuous monitoring, then into corrective action, replacement planning and an executive brief. Grounded in the X3 DOT Skills corpus and verified FMCSA rules. It authorizes; it doesn’t just report.

The outcome

Every Load Goes Out on a Driver Who Can Legally Run It.

A fleet that authorizes before it dispatches has fewer roadside surprises, fewer claims where the driver’s qualification is the first question, and a bench it can actually see. A fleet that dispatches on the file finds out at the scale, or in the deposition. X3 Workforce puts you in the first group — one assignment at a time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions.

What safety managers and dispatchers ask before they put X3 Workforce over the roster.

X3 Workforce: a black tractor under a ring of cyan light on a wet black floor
Isn’t this just DQ-file software?
No. DQ files are one layer. X3 Workforce is the authorization decision above them — it answers whether a driver can legally, medically, competently and operationally perform a specific assignment right now, with the exact reason and the fix.
What are the six authorization statuses?
Authorized, Authorized with conditions, Pending, Restricted, Ineligible and Under review — each with the blocking or conditional item, its CFR or source, whether it can be overridden, and the fastest valid resolution.
Does it replace my MVR, HOS or background product?
It works fully standalone. Bundle it with your X3 stack or Compass and it consumes those products’ signals live and rolls them into the verdict — one decision layer over everything.
Can I enforce my own company rules?
Yes. The no-code fleet rules engine turns your policies — equipment, routes, customers, experience, training — into hard gates and conditions the engine applies to every assignment.
What does the engine do when facts conflict?
It returns Under review with the conflicting items named, rather than guessing. A human makes the determination; the engine records it.
How fast is a decision?
Seconds — a weighted score plus one of six statuses, with the reason and the fastest fix, for one driver or the whole roster against a load.
How does pricing work?
One plan, priced by driver. From $99 a month, which covers your first 10 drivers. Drivers 11 through 50 add $10 each per month, and every driver past 50 adds $5, unlimited. Every carrier and every tool is included.
Is this legal advice or an employment decision?
No. It is decision support grounded in 49 CFR and your fleet rules. Final dispatch and employment decisions rest with the carrier.
